We take well composted horse manure, add some peat for aeration, gypsum, water and that's it. Keep it simple. We don't add vermiculite, it's environmentally unfriendly, bad for our lungs, doesn't hold water any better, and has no nutritive value.

The substrate is sterilized not pasteurized.

Perfectly hydrated and ready to use in a mono-tub.
